NEET 2020 result has been declared on 16th Oct, 2020. For the first time, both rank 1 and rank 2 holders have got full marks in NEET. The rank 1 has been obtained by Soyeb Aftab from Odisha and rank 2 is by Akansha Singh from Delhi. Both have scored 720 out of 720. Akanksha Singh was ranked 2 in AIR because of the National Testing Agency (NTA) tie breaker policy. Watch this video to learn about the tie breaker rules in detail.

NEET 2020 Highlights:
Total 1,59,7435 candidates registered for NEET 2020, as many as 13,66,945 candidates appeared for the exam. Of these, 7,71,500 have qualified.
As per the statistics released by the authority of the registered aspirants for NEET-UG 2020 exam in comparison with the previous year, as many as 78,058 medical candidates have been increased. The major reason behind the increase in the number of registered candidates is merging the admission of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research ( JIPMER ) through NEET scores. On October 4, 2019, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India, had taken a decision that 1205 AIIMS and 200 JIPMER MBBS seats will be granted through NEET from 2020 onwards.
